Westwood Gallery is pleased to present original paintings, prints, ceramics and sculptures by Sica in an exhibit opening Sunday, November 14th with a reception and book-signing by the artist from 1 – 5 PM. From her studios in Chelsea and Montauk, to her travels through Greece, Spain, India and Vietnam, Sica combines the shapes, hues, textures, forms and light into a rich style all her own. It is her openness to these influences and her ability to incorporate them into the layers of her art that creates a finished work greater than the sum of its parts. She also has an ability shared with all the truly great artists, making chance a dynamic part of the creative process. It is her daily discipline in the studio and her willingness to sacrifice, that has refined her artistic spirit to be the perfect conduit, channeling the unknown, letting the work arrive before the thought.
