officially opened its brand new Fitness Center Nov. 1. Senior athletes joined together with IHA religion department chair Sr. Margaret Gaffikin, principal Patricia Molloy and Rev. James Burke, who blessed the new facility. It offers state-of-the-art exercise equipment and an on-site Fitness and Sport Performance Coordinator, Tommi Paavola.
Athletic Director and Assistant Principal of Building and Grounds Jason Schlereth said that the Fitness Center will be great for both students and faculty/staff. “The Fitness center is important because it will encourage students and staff to live a healthy lifestyle,” he said. “It will also be important for athletes to have a place to train right on site, especially with our girls coming from so many different towns.”
