Man Wanted In Bergen County Burglary Spree Arrested: Police
James Rainford, 47, arrested in Paramus, authorities said.

The man who allegedly burglarized several homes in Bergen and Passaic counties has been arrested.
James M. Rainsford, 47, was arrested Thursday morning, Allendale Police Chief George Scherb said.
Authorities are investigating whether Rainsford, who had burglary and drug charges filed against him, NJ.com reported, is responsible for burglaries in Bergen County, including Ridgewood, Allendale, Closter, Norwood, and Ramsey. Authorities have said Rainsford likes to travel by bicycle.

Rainsford was arrested in Paramus after a passer-by saw him on a park bench and notified police, Scherb said; Rainsford, who is homeless, had a crack pipe on him.
Ridgewood police said money was taken from two village homes in overnight burglaries earlier last month. Money was taken from both homes, police said.

Paramus police could not be reached for comment.
Detectives from several local agencies and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office interviewed Rainsford at Paramus Police Headquarters, Nj.com reported.
