New Owners, New Charlie Brown's

Restaurant sees new owners and new menu

Charlie Brown's, known for its steak and prime rib, was recently bought by new owners, pulling the steakhouse from Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. With new ownership came a new menu and the desire for expansion.

New dishes including Herb Crusted Pork Loin, Moroccan Blackened Salmon and Lobster Crab Cakes were added to the menu. The menu also now features entrees under 500 calories.

Although New President Tom Moxcey said Charlie Brown's will remain a steakhouse, the restaurant now features a wider variety of options for families who lack time to prepare delicious home-cooked meals, according to a November press release. Charlie Brown's continues to have its Farmer's Market Salad Bar, included with most entrees.

Each Charlie Brown's menu is consistent with next, but sports its own individual hometown style. Every location received HD TVs and "NFL Ticket" programming to accompany new bar specials and happy hour on Sundays.

Investing more than $10 million, new ownership saved more than 1,100 jobs and boosted the local economies of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, the release said. With sales improving more than 12 percent in the last three months, new ownership seems to be just the thing Charlie Brown's needed.
