New School Board Member Expected to be Named Tonight

Members of the are expected to interview and name a new member tonight to replace Eileen Mosolino who .

According to the school board meeting agenda, candidates will be interviewed starting at 6 p.m. in the Hurley Theater of . Then board members will conduct a closed session meeting for discussion. After that, they are expected to elect a new board member and swear him or her into the new position.

Also on the agenda is a resolution recognizing Mosolino for her years of service on the Board of Education. The same resolution appeared on the last agenda, but Mosolino was unable to attend so Superintendent Geoffrey Zoeller tabled the measure until tonight's meeting.

The curriculum report for this meeting will be in the area of mathematics. Principal Michael Fiorello and High School Supervisor of Math and Business Diane Carroll are scheduled to give a presentation regarding the changing math curriculum.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Westwood High School, 701 Ridgewood Road, Washington Township.
