Positive Behavior Program Kicks Off at Middle School
Olympic silver medalist Gail Marquis visited students to share her experiences
School-wide Positive Behavior Support is not just another initiative. It is a lifelong change in how schools plan for and deal with discipline and problem behaviors. More than 1,000 schools across the country have been successfully using School-wide Positive Behavior Support to reduce occurrences of discipline and problem behavior.
kicked off the school year with an all-day SWPBS event Sept. 9. In the morning, students rotated to various stations that focused on appropriate behavior within the school setting.
After lunch, students had an opportunity to listen to the guest speaker of the day, Gail Marquis. The former Olympic Silver Medalist spoke about the benefits of being a good person and making the right choices. There was also a DJ and numerous fun activities for the students to participate in.
