Senator Cardinale, Assemblyman Schroeder Recognize Westwood Students

Westwood high School students were applauded for their participation in the MSG Varsity/Cablevision Power to Learn Charity Champions Program Thursday morning

was presented a $1000 check for the American Cancer Society, and $500 for student fundraising activities Thursday, Dec. 22 at 8:55 a.m.

Senator Gerald Cardinale and Assemblyman Robert Schroeder came to show their appreciation for the students' their willingness to help others. The High School's Film Club signed on to participate in MSG Varsity/Cablevision Power to Learn Charity Champions program.

The students were presented the $1000 check for the charity of their choice. They will donate the check to the American Cancer Society. The additional $500 will go towards future charitable activities at the high school.
