Senior-Directed Plays to be Performed Wednesday
The Woodington Players will perform at Westwood Jr./Sr. High School

The Woodington Players will perform five senior-directed one-act plays at Wednesday night.
Donna Bialkin, director of the Woodington Players, said nine seniors have directed the five plays that will be performed by 15 actors. Two of the plays will also be performed at the Newtown Theatre Festival in Newtown, Pa. on June 3. A panel of judges will select the best two during a dress rehearsal.
According to Bialkin, the seniors who direct the plays have been actively involved in the Woodington Players. She said they do the work on their own time.

"They choose their own play scripts, cast them in a joint audition, rehearse on their own, determine needs for props, costumes, lights and sets and then perform here at school," she said.
The performances will take place Wednesday, May 11 at 7 p.m. in the Hurley Theatre of Westwood Jr./Sr. High School, 701 Ridgewood Road, Washington Township. Tickets are $5 at the door.
