Seventh-Graders Participate in the Whimpel Project
A teacher at the Temple Beth Or Religious School is spearheading the project

Gilat Epstein, a seventh grade teacher at the Religious School in the Township of Washington has been working with her students to create a very special Torah binder (the Whimpel Project).
Students in the seventh grade class have added their names and designs to this class project. When one of the students becomes a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, the Torah will be tied with the binder (the whimpel). In this way, the student being called to Torah will be supported by his or her own classmates.
For more information about the project, call Irene Bolton or Bonnie Ziff at 201-722-0269.
