IHA is Top Seed in Volleyball Tournament, Injuries for Lady Cardinals Cross Country

The high school fall sports season is in full swing. Patch will bring you a weekly review of what happened for Westwood High School and IHA players and provide a preview of upcoming match-ups.

Week in Review

• The Lady Cardinals won the field hockey quarterfinal in the Bergen County tournament Sunday against Hackensack, 4-3. Freshman Alexa Constantine scored the winning goal with one second left. The team lost to Passaic Valley Tuesday, 4-0.
  
  
• IHA beat Old Tappan Sunday 2-0 in the second round of the girls soccer Bergen County tournament. The girls also beat Holy Angels Monday, 3-0.
  
  
• The Westwood girls soccer team lost to Ramapo 6-0 Sunday in the first round of the Bergen County tournament. The girls also lost to Dumont Monday, 3-2.
  
  
• The Blue Eagles beat Holy Angels in volleyball Tuesday, 2-0. IHA got the top seed in the Bergen County tournament.
  
  
• The WHS boys soccer team lost to Dumont Tuesday, 4-0.
  
  
• The IHA tennis team beat Clifton 5-0 last Friday. The team is progressing.
  
  
• The WHS girls cross country team has been plagued with injuries, but isn't giving up.

• The IHA tennis team has a home match scheduled against Passaic County Technical Institute at 4 p.m.
  
  
• The Lady Cardinals have an away tennis match scheduled against Fort Lee at 4:15 p.m.
  
  
• The WHS girls volleyball team is scheduled to play Bergenfield at home at 4:15 p.m.
  
  
• The IHA volleyball team has a home match scheduled against Bogota High School at 4:30 p.m.
  
  
• The WHS football team is scheduled to play Mahwah away at 7 p.m. The school cheerleaders are also scheduled to be there.

SATURDAY

• The Blue Eagles volleyball team will compete against Cliffside Park High School at home in the next round of the Bergen County tournament at 10 a.m.
  
  
• The Lady Cardinals have a home soccer game against Fort Lee scheduled for 11 a.m.
  
  
• The IHA soccer team is scheduled to play a home game against Paramus Catholic High School at noon.
  
  
• The Lady Cardinals have an away volleyball match scheduled against Pascack Valley High School at 2 p.m.

SUNDAY

• The WHS girls field hockey team is scheduled to compete in the next round of the Bergen County tournament Sunday at 1 p.m.
  
  
• The IHA soccer team is scheduled to play a home game against Paramus High School at 3:30 p.m.

• The WHS boys soccer team has a home game scheduled against Ridgefield Park at 4:15 p.m.
