Cardinals Lose in Football, IHA Reachees Volleyball Final Four

The high school fall sports season is in full swing. Patch will bring you a weekly review of what happened for Westwood High School and IHA players and provide a preview of upcoming match-ups.

Week in Review

• The WHS boys soccer team defeated River Dell High School Saturday, 2-1. The team also beat Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood Tuesday, 5-0.
  
  
• The Tuesday by defeating Pascack Valley High School in three sets.
  
  
• The Lady Cardinals tennis team lost to Indian Hills Wednesday, 5-0.
  
  
• The IHA tennis team fell to Holy Angels Wednesday, 5-0.

What's Ahead:

FRIDAY

• The Lady Cardinals field hockey team has a game against Chatam High School scheduled for 4 p.m. This is the first round of the field hockey tournament for NJSIAA North 1, Group 2. Westwood was seeded 13th.
  
  
• The IHA soccer team has a home game against Paramus Catholic High School scheduled for 4 p.m.
  
  
• The WHS boys soccer team has an away game against Fort Lee scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
  
  
• IHA will take on Mahwah in volleyball at 6:30 p.m. in the semifinal of the Bergen County tournament at Northern Valley High School at Old Tappan.
  
  
• The Cardinals football team is scheduled to take on Ramsey at home at 7 p.m.

SATURDAY

• The WHS boys and girls cross country teams are scheduled to participate in an invitational at 10 a.m.

MONDAY

• The Lady Cardinals soccer team has a home game scheduled against Beckton Regional High School at 4 p.m.
  
  
• The WHS boys soccer team has an away game against Demarest scheduled for 5 p.m.

TUESDAY

• The IHA soccer team has a home game against Bergen County Technical School scheduled for 4 p.m.
  
  
• The Lady Cardinals soccer team has an away game against Indian Hills scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
  
  
• The WHS girls tennis team has an away match against Fort Lee scheduled for 4:15 p.m.

WEDNESDAY

• The IHA soccer team has a home game against Paramus Catholic High School scheduled for 2 p.m.
  
  
• The WHS boys soccer team has an away game against Indian Hills scheduled for 6 p.m.

THURSDAY

• The Blue Eagles are scheduled to play Paramus Catholic in soccer as part of the Bergen County tournament. The time is to be determined.
