Township Library Hosting Manfred Wegner Exhibit
The artist works in a wide variety of mediums.

The Township of Washington Library is presenting an art exhibit by Manfred D. Wegner in the program room for the month of July. Wegner's art encompasses many mediums. This exhibit includes oils, watercolors, scroll saw cuts, pen and ink drawings, kodalith, pencil drawings, scherenschnitt and pyrography. His works have appeared in numerous exhibits throughout the area.
A resident of Bergenfield, Wegner's photography has been published in numerous magazines, books and newspapers including American Photographer, The Bergen Record and The Rockland Journal News. A dramatic shot of New York City during a storm appeared on the cover of Weatherwise magazine and later appeared on channel 4 during a weather forecast.
Wegner's interest in art and photography began as a teenager in Berlin, Germany. He was introduced to darkroom photography by his father. He also learned scherenschnitte (scissor-cutting) which is a popular craft in Germany. Later, a trip to Germany inspired him to work with wood and pyrography (wood burning).
