Westwood 2019 Halloween Trick-Or-Treating Curfew
Kids in Westwood will soon hit the sidewalks in search of candy on Halloween night. Here's when they should trick-or-treat.

WESTWOOD, NJ - When kids hit the sidewalks in search of candy on Halloween, a special curfew will be in effect.
In Westwood, police will be enforcing a 9 p.m. curfew on Oct. 30 and 31, as well as a Zero Tolerance Policy, to ensure a safe holiday for all, according to Police Chief Michael Pontillo.
Police will have a stepped up patrol presence both nights that includes reserve, detectives and special officers, the chief said.

Police are also encouraging parents to host mischief night activities on their properties - instead of allowing their kids to roam free - in order to reduce property damage that night, Pontillo said.

- Make sure costumes are the correct size to prevent trips and falls.
- Young children should be supervised by a responsible adult.
- Don't walk on the street. Stay on sidewalks and cross streets when safe at intersections and crosswalks
