Westwood Baseball Opening Day [PHOTOS]

Westwood's young ball players took to the field at Meadowbrook Park for their first games of the year.

The Westwood Baseball Association held their opening day ceremony in Meadowbrook Park Saturday.

Past WBA President Rich Poggi and sponsor of the year Lee Tremble of The Iron Horse were honored at the event.

Guest speakers from Westwood Regional High School's team shared some encouraging words for the young athletes before they took to the field for a day of games.

The WBA will holding another celebration soon when they complete building the new clubhouse at the field. WBA President Keith Rivers told Patch it's expected to be finished in the next few weeks.
