Westwood, Hillsdale Ranked 2nd And 3rd Safest Places To Live In N.J.

More than a dozen Bergen County municipalities were included on top 50 list by CreditDonkey.com.

WESTWOOD, NJ - Westwood and HIllsdale were named the second and third safest place to live in New Jersey, respectively, recently.

The municipalities were two of more than a dozen from Bergen County to be included on creditdonkey.com’s list of the top 50 safest places to live.

The website evaluated 2014 FBI Crime Report data, and looked at the number of violent crimes, robberies, property crimes, which included theft, vandalism, and shoplifting, and burglaries.

Westwood has a very transient population with very low crime rates, according to the rankings.

Violent crimes per 1,000 people: 0.4

Burglary per 1,000: 0.3
