Westwood Woman, 77, Dies Following Crash
Breaking: The woman was hit by an 86-year-old driver at Broadway and Irvington Street at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

WESTWOOD, NJ — A 77-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by an elderly driver Wednesday, police said.
The woman, whom police did not identify, was struck at about 10 a.m. at the intersection of Irvington Street and Broadway by an 86-year-old River Vale woman, Lt. Jay Hutchinson said. The woman died around 5 p.m.
The victim suffered head and internal injuries and was admitted to the intensive care unit, Hutchinson said.

The driver was issued a summonses for careless driving, but no criminal charges were filed as of Thursday morning.
The Westwood Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the crash. Further details will be released when they are available, Hutchinson said.
