Investigators believe Hernandez was riding the Yamaha motorcycle and Aguilar was riding the Kawasaki. They were traveling south on Rt. 1 with a group of motorcycles when they entered the turn lane at Morses Mill Rd. and lost control, police said. Aguilar’s motorcycle collided with the Accord while it was stopped at the light. The people inside the Accord were not injured at all.
Parts of 278 westbound and Rt. 1 south were closed during the investigation Friday night. The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau and anyone with information or who witnessed it is asked to call Linden police investigator Peter Hammer at (908) 474-8505.
