2 People Jump From Burning Highland Park Home

They were assisted by an unnamed Highland Park police officer Wednesday.

Highland Park, NJ - Two people had to jump from a burning home Wednesday in Highland Park, at 45 S. Adelaide Avenue off Rt. 27. The two people jumped from the second-floor of the burning multi-family home, and they were assisted by a Highland Park police officer, who has not been named, MyCentralJersey.com reported.

Four people total, including the officer, were taken to Robert Wood Johnson hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The large fire broke out at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday and completely destroyed the home. New Brunswick fire department provided mutual aid. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
