4 Cases of Rabies in Middlesex County So Far in 2016

There are four total cases of rabies found in wild animals so far in 2016 in Middlesex County, including most recently in East Brunswick.

Middlesex County, NJ - There have been four total cases of rabies found in wild animals so far this year in Middlesex County, including the most recent case of a rabid raccoon discovered Tuesday in East Brunswick.

The Middlesex County Office of Health Services confirmed the statistics to Patch Friday.

Previous reports listed just three cases, but that did not include a rabid raccoon found in Woodbridge back in February, a county spokeswoman said.

All four cases have involved raccoons. Here are the incidents so far in 2016, including the dates and where the animals were found:
