6 Woodbridge Businesses Hit with Fake $100 Bills
M-Gyro, Chick-fil-A and other restaurants hit with fake $100 bills, police say.

Woodbridge, NJ - Fake $100 bills are circulating through Woodbridge Township, and at least six different shops and restaurants have reported receiving the doctored cash in the past week, News 12 New Jersey reports.
The businesses are mostly in Fords and Colonia. Someone has doctored $5 bills to make them look like $100s and is passing them off, including at M-Gyro in Fords. Other restaurants hit include Colonia Fried Chicken, Walgreens in Colonia, Chick-fil-A in Woodbridge and Aldi Foods in Fords.
The restaurant’s security system caught two men trying to pass off the fake $100s, police said. One man paid for his food order with $100. The other asked for, and was given, change for a fake $100, police said.

A currency marker doesn’t help, since a real $5 bill was used, police said. However, most bills will have a hologram inside and the hologram should match the face on the bill.
