Animal Rescue And Adoption Shelter Seeking Volunteers For Cleaning Day

Angel PAWS Animal Rescue and Adoption Shelter in Colonia, New Jersey is seeking volunteers to assist in their Shelter Cleaning Day, taking place on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Shelter Cleaning Day is a critical part of providing a clean and safe environment for both, the animals in their care as well as their volunteers. The Shelter Cleaning Day is where the facility is stripped-down to its bare walls, cages are disassembled and power-washed, along with the play stations, kuranda beds, etc. To ensure proper cleanliness, walls and windows are also scrubbed. The facility will be disinfected and any small repairs will be made as well. Volunteers must be 16-years-old and above. This community-related opportunity is ideal for young adult groups and for working high school students in need of receiving community service hour credits.

The day will start at 8:00 AM and is anticipated to end at 5:00 PM. The day will be split between two shifts - 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
