WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Mayor John E. McCormac and the Woodbridge Township fishing fleet today issued a “Last Call” to all fishermen (and fisherwomen) to sign-up for the 2018 Mayor’s Fluke Fishing Tournament that casts off from the Sewaren boat launch next Saturday, June 16.
The annual fishing tournament raises funds for Woodbridge Township physically- or developmentally- challenged youngsters. This year, proceeds will go to Itzely Garcia, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in 2012.
Meet Itzely and family — and the captains and fishermen — at the mandatory Captain’s Meeting scheduled for Friday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Andrew’s Knights of Columbus Hall, 109 Morrisey Ave., Avenel.
