Armed Man At Woodbridge Liquor Store, Police Report
The man led police on a chase from the Ready Wine and Liquors on Rt. 1 through the Big Lots parking lot last Thursday, Sept. 7.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A man armed with what turned out to be a BB gun was arrested at the Ready Wine & Liquors store off Rt. 1 at Green Street last Thursday, police report.
Woodbridge police were called to Ready Wine & Liquors at 768 Rt. 1 north in Iselin (the store next to the Dunkin' Donuts) just after 12 p.m. last Thursday, Sept. 7. The caller called 911 to report a man with a gun. When police got to the store, they found a man who fit the description and tried to stop him. He ran from officers and led them on a foot chase through the parking lot of the Big Lots, located near the liquor store on Green Street.
While being chased, the man tripped off a curb and fell on the pavement. The police ordered him to stay down on the ground; he did not comply and a brief struggle ensued, police said. That's when police were finally able to arrest him. Giorgio Waller, 29, from Green Street in Iselin was arrested. Police said they found a black-colored .177 caliber BB gun handgun in his waistband.

He was charged with multiple offenses, including resisting arrest, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and certain persons not to have a weapon. He was taken to the Middlesex County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
