BCB Bank In Woodbridge Robbed Monday; Man Charged

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The BCB Bank on Amboy Avenue was robbed Monday morning, Oct. 14, said Woodbridge police, and a Perth Amboy man was apprehended and charged.

Police say a man entered the BCB Bank at 378 Amboy Avenue in Woodbridge at approximately 10:45 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. He obtained $1,660 from the bank and fled.

Police put out a description of the suspect and a man was stopped by Carteret police.

Francis Conte, 49, a Perth Amboy resident, was arrested and charged with the robbery.
