Body Found In Middlesex County Brush Fire

Police are still trying to determine the identity of the man.

EDISON, NJ— A man's body was found at the scene of a small brush fire in Edison early Sunday morning-- and police aren't sure who he is.

Edison police were responding to a small fire near the Valley Manor apartment complex near a Route 1 bridge that runs across the Raritan River, when they discovered the body, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey said.

The body was discovered at 9:50 a.m. on Sunday after the fire was extinguished, and the man was pronounced dead at 9:50 a.m.
