Body of Missing Old Bridge Woman, 19, Found

The body of Rachael Oakes was recovered this past Sunday near the Raritan River in Edison.

EDISON, NJ - The body of a 19-year-old Old Bridge teenager who has been missing since January was found this past Sunday in Edison.

The body of Rachael Oakes was recovered this past Sunday in the vicinity of the Raritan River in Edison, Jim O'Neill, a spokesman for the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, confirmed to Patch. Rachael's family has been notified.

The cause of death has not yet been determined and O'Neill would not release any further details on her death.

Patch was one of the first news outlets to report that Rachael Oakes went missing, on Jan. 12 of this year. Oakes, a graduate of Old Bridge High School, was last seen Tuesday, Jan. 10. New Jersey State Police found her car abandoned on the Driscoll Bridge sometime after midnight that Tuesday.

When she went missing, a man who identified herself as her boyfriend, Tyler Urbanski, posted photos of Rachael on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, asking people to spread her image far and wide in the hopes that she would be found.
