A manhunt has been underway since a 64-year-old N.J. grandfather was shot and killed after answering the door at his home, authorities said.

A manhunt has been underway since a 64-year-old N.J. grandfather was shot and killed after answering the door at his home this week, according to authorities.

Augusto Collado was shot in the hand and in the chest after two men knocked on the front door Tuesday at his Florida home, News4Jax.com reported.

The men, who appeared at 11 p.m., told Collado they knew his grandson, Taylor Crosby, the report said, but Crosby told the television station he doesn’t know the suspects.

Both Crosby, 25, and Collado’s wife were also in the house on Labelle Street in Jacksonville; no arrests have been made, according to nj.com.

Collado, an Army veteran, was born in Puerto Rico before moving to the United State when he was 10. He served in the U.S. Army.

He worked as a security supervisor at BJ’s Wholesale Club stores in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, according to his LinkedIn page. Collado is a former resident of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton Township, according to public records.
