N.J. Police Chase, Crash: Bridge Closed

All lanes on a New Jersey bridge were closed, then reopened Monday afternoon after a car in a police chase crashed.

The Outerbridge Crossing was closed in both directions while police were at the scene, according to the Port Authority.

There was no information about the driver at press time.

Police were chasing the suspect who was wanted for stealing a car in Perth Amboy, according to the Port Authority.

The suspect turned around on the Outerbridge and smashed another vehicle head-on.
