Bruce Turcotte's Name to Go on Part of Rt. 184
A volunteer firefighter who protected Woodbridge residents for 38 years will likely now have a local road named in his honor.

Woodbridge, NJ - A beloved Woodbridge volunteer fire chief, Bruce Turcotte, may soon have a section of Rt. 184 in the township named after him.
Turcotte, a longtime Fords resident, served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 38 years at Hopelawn Engine Co. 1. On Jan. 19‚ 2012‚ he responded to a house fire along with his son, Brian. At the scene, later, he was found unconscious and unresponsive behind the wheel of a rescue truck.
Turcott had suffered a massive fatal heart attack at the age of 58. Now, part of Rt. 184 will be renamed the “Bruce Turcotte Memorial Highway.” It just awaits Gov. Chris Christie’s signature, according to Mycentraljersey.com.
