Burlington Coat Factory Will Open Friday - With or Without a Parking Deck
The retail store is slated to have its grand opening a month to the day part of the parking deck collapsed. The cause is still unknown.
Come hell, high water, or the lack of a functional parking deck, the Burlington Coat Factory is going to open on time.
That's the word from the owners of the new retail store, which is set for its grand opening this Friday, September 21 - exactly a month after a portion of the parking deck that fronts the store suddenly collapsed for reasons still unknown.
"It's meant to open on the 21st, and it is opening on the 21st," said Christa Segalini, spokeswoman for Woodbridge-based Onyx Equities, the company that owns and manages the building. "I'm not sure if the parking deck will be open. The store is definitely opening."
