Car Drives Into Laundromat in Woodbridge

Woodbridge, NJ - A 67-year-old woman drove her car into a laundromat in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Monday afternoon, police said.

The Florida woman drove her Lincoln LS ”right through” Spin Central Laundry Mat at 519 Avenel Street, Captain Roy Hoppock said. As of 2:45 p.m., the car is completely inside the laundromat, he said.

There were no injuries, he said. Officials at the scene are still trying to determine what happened, and if the accident was weather related.
