Cars Targeted in Colonia for Break-Ins

Cars parked on these following streets were left unlocked and were broken into:

Woodbridge, NJ - Someone broke into up to 10 parked cars that had been left unlocked in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township on May 29, police said.

Up to 10 cars parked on Stafford Road, Ravine Drive and Beechwood Court were broken into between 7:30 p.m. on May 29 and 7:30 a.m. on May 30, said Capt. Roy Hoppock of the Woodbridge PD.

Loose change, electronics and credit/debit cards were taken from all of them. All the cars had been left unlocked, he said.

"No particular make or model is being targeted other than them being unlocked," said Hoppock. "Someone walks by and tries a door handle and if it opens, they will take advantage of that opportunity."
