Carteret Man Pleads Guilty In International Drug Conspiracy: Prosecutors
The man admitted to importing a designer drug from China with the intent to sell in NJ.

CARTERET, NJ-- A Carteret man pled guilty on Tuesday in an international drug conspiracy, prosecutors say.
Thomas Seymore, 38, plead guilty in US District Court for conspiring to distribute four kilograms of ethylone that came from China.
According to court documents, Seymore intended to distribute the schedule I drug in June of 2014. He ordered the drug from a supplier in China and had it shipped to a location in Teaneck.

Ethylone is a designer drug that stimulates the nervous system and can create hallucinations, similarly to MDMA.
Seymore faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million when he is sentenced in February.
