Carteret Police Investigating Fatal Beating Of Local Man

CARTERET, NJ-- Carteret Police Department is investigating the fatal beating of a local man, and are looking for information,

Hector Torres, 59, was pronounced dead from a blunt impact to his head in his Holly Street home just after midnight on Oct. 12, police said. An unidentified witness alerted police to the beating around 11:30 PM Oct. 11.

Police did not disclose the homicide until today, for investigative reasons.
