CARTERET, NJ — Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli continues to make a final push throughout the state as the New Jersey governor's race is coming to a close, with Election Day tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Ciattarelli has made several campaign stops in deep-blue Middlesex County, including at the Reo Diner in Woodbridge last Thursday, and on Monday, he is scheduled to be at Krispy Pizza on Rt. 516 in Old Bridge at 12:30 p.m., followed by a campaign stop at Chateau Madrid Restaurant and Bar in Carteret at 3 p.m.

As he did at the Reo, Ciattarelli will talk with patrons of the small businesses and answer their questions. Related: Photos From Ciattarelli's Woodbridge Diner Visit Thursday

This latest Stockton poll out Thursday shows Ciattarelli trailing 9 points behind Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy, which is a closer gap than this Monmouth University poll showed last week, which had Murphy 11 points ahead.

But Murphy famously said last week he's running this reelection "like he's 10 points behind." President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Senator Bernie Sanders and Vice President Kamala Harris all campaigned for Murphy in New Jersey throughout October, with Sanders speaking at a Get Out The Vote rally of about 1,000 college students on the Rutgers campus Thursday night.
