College Sophomore from Woodbridge Wins Statewide Honors
Cristina Jordan, a Woodbridge resident who plays basketball at MCC, has won yet another award for her skill.
Cristina Jordan has been racking up the awards as well as the basketball scores.
The Middlesex County College sophomore and native was just named NJ Junior College Athletic Association Player of the Weekthe Garden State Athletic Conference Female Player of the Week and National Player of the Week (for the week that ended Feb. 4.)
The 5 ft. 11 basketball star racked up double-doubles in three games last week as the MCC Colts went 2 to 1. Jordan put up 29 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks in a 74-65 loss to Brookdale Commnity College. In a game with Sussex County Community College, Jordan scored 23 points and 19 rebounds; she ended the week with 16 points and 15 rebounds in the Colts' 88-72 win over Camden Community College.
