Driver Strikes Pole In Woodbridge Township

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A driver from Iselin lost control and drove into this pole Tuesday on Green Street in Iselin, Woodbridge police said. A Patch reader sent us these photos from the crash scene.

The accident happened at 10:51 a.m. Tuesday. The 54-year-old female driver from Iselin lost control and struck a pole, splitting it in half. A 26-year-old female passenger in the car did not appear to have any injuries, police said.

However, the driver complained of pain in the chest area. She was taken to JFK Medical Center. No summonses were issued.
