DWI Accident in Marlboro, Man Arrested in Holmdel
The driver left his car's front bumper, with the license plate attached, on Highway 34 in Colts Neck.

Holmdel, NJ - Just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Holmdel police came across a white Nisssan Altima pulled off the road, facing southbound in the northbound lane of the shoulder of Holmdel Road near Van Brackle Road.
The car had significant front-end damage, with no front bumper or front tires.
The car's driver, Christopher Rega, 18, of Freehold, could not provide any information as to where or what he had struck with his vehicle. A field sobriety testing was conducted, and Rega was arrested for DWI.

Police later determined that Rega had gotten into a motor vehicle accident in Marlboro earlier that night, had left the scene and traveled through Colts Neck into Holmdel. The bumper to his vehicle, with the license plate attached, was later found on Highway 34 in Colts Neck.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath testing and various other motor vehicle violations in Holmdel. In addition, he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident in Marlboro.
