Edison Man Pleads Guilty to Child Porn
He admitted he sent an email that contained a photo of a child under the age of 12 being sexually abused, federal prosecutors said.
EDISON, NJ - A Middlesex County man admitted Tuesday to distributing and possessing images of child sexual abuse, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
John Fricovsky, 57, of Edison, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge John Michael Vazquez in Newark federal court to an information charging him with one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Fricovsky admitted that in February 2015 he sent an email attaching an image of child sexual abuse involving a child under the age of 12. He also admitted to, in December 2015, possessing computer devices containing at least 10, but fewer than 150, images of child sexual abuse.

The possession of child pornography charge to which Fricovsky pleaded guilty carries a maximum potential penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Fricovsky will be required to register as a sex offender. Sentencing is currently scheduled for June 7, 2017.
Special Agents with Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Terence S. Opiola, led the investigation.
