Edison Sends 2 Police Officers to Dallas
They will join thousands of officers nationwide at funeral services Wednesday and Thursday.

Edison, NJ - The Edison Township Police Dept. sent two veteran officers, both members of the police Honor Guard, to Dallas Tuesday evening to represent Edison at funeral services for five slain Dallas officers.
The two Edison officers flew to Texas Tuesday, their expenses paid by Edison PBA Local 75 and the Superior Officers Association. They will join thousands of officers from police departments nationwide at Wednesday's services for Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer Brent Thompson and police Senior Cpl. Lorne B. Ahrens, and at services for police Sgt. Michael J. Smith on Thursday. Final arrangements are not complete for slain Officers Michael Krol and Patricio Zamarripa.
“Our police department stands in unity with the Dallas law enforcement community,” Police Chief Thomas Bryan said. “Every man and woman, here or anywhere else, who swore an oath to protect and serve their community understands the risks of this job. When tragedies like this occur, we feel the loss and sadness profoundly.”
