Edison ShopRite On Rt. 1 Sells $2M Lottery Ticket
The ticket, purchased at the Shoprite at Rt. 1 and Old Post Road in Edison, matched all five numbers drawn in the Tuesday night drawing.

EDISON, NJ — While it might seem hard to believe, the state of New Jersey still considers the lottery an essential business, and it has remained open during the coronavirus lockdown, with tickets being sold.
In fact, a ticket was sold this week at the Edison ShopRite on Rt. 1 that matched five out of the five white ball numbers drawn in the Tuesday, April 21 drawing, winning the $1,000,000 prize, the New Jersey Lottery announced.
Also, that ticket was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to an incredible $2 million (before taxes).

The ticket was purchased at the ShopRite at Rt. 1 and Old Post Road in Edison in Middlesex County.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, April 21 drawing were: 13, 15, 24, 67 and 70. The Gold Mega Ball was 17, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 2.

The $2-million winner has not yet been identified.
There was one third-tier prizewinning ticket sold that matched four of the five white balls and the gold ball Tuesday night, winning $10,000. That ticket was purchased at 193 Valero, 193 Route 17 North, Mahwah in Bergen County.
Lottery main offices remain closed until at least April 29
While winners can collect a prize of up to $600 at any retailer that sells lottery tickets, the New Jersey Lottery's main office in Lawrence Twp. remains closed until at least April 29 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
And a ticket sold in Monmouth County matched all five numbers drawn winning the $473,072 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Wednesday, April 22 drawing. That ticket was sold at 71 Central Liquors, 106 Highway 71, Spring Lake Heights.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, April 22 drawing were: 01, 07, 09, 12, and 31 and the XTRA number was: 04.
