Edison Woman Chosen as White House Intern

Young women from Sayreville and East Brunswick were chosen, as well.

Edison, NJ - An Edison young woman has been chosen for the White House Spring 2016 internship program, the White House press secretary announced.

Tania Makker, of Edison, currently enrolled at Rutgers University, was chosen for the prestigious internship.

Yasmine Nashed, from East Brunswick, currently attending Rutgers and Rebecca Singh, from Sayreville, were also chosen. Rebecca currently attends Northeastern University.

There are more than 100 interns, chosen from an applicant pool nationwide, who participate in the internship each semester. Interns work in one of several White House departments, including the Domestic Policy Council, the National Economic Council, the Office of Cabinet Affairs, the Office of the First Lady, the Office of Legislative Affairs, the Office of the Vice President and more.
