Enjoy Halloween activities at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge's Fall Festival. There is fun for the whole family including pumpkin picking, crafts and pumpkin painting for kids. There will also be games and activities for children such as face painting.
The festival will offer free refreshments, a bake sale and tours of the historic cemetery. Some of the earliest settlers in Woodbridge were buried in this cemetery starting in the 1600s. According to the church website, the cemetery has two unique monuments which display carved death head skulls above crossed bones. Famous persons buried here include General Nathaniel Heard. He was in charge of the Middlesex County Militia to Perth Amboy in 1775 where he arrested William Franklin who was the Royal Governor of New Jersey at that time.
