Free Rabies Clinic Offered in February

Free rabies shots are available for Woodbridge Township residents who own dogs and cats five months old or older. The rabies clinic will take place February 13 and February 15 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Woodbridge Health Dept. next to the Main Library.

Carteret, South Amboy and Roselle Park residents may also bring in their pets. There is no charge to these residents for a rabies shot if residents show proof of licensing in their respective townships.

All animals must be licensed and inoculated against rabies. Bring dog or cat license and proof of a prior year's rabies shots if pet has been previously inoculated. Also bring spaying and/or neutering certificate.

A township license may be purchased at the clinic. Be sure to keep the dogs on leashes and cats in carriers. Do not allow minors to bring pets to the clinic.

Seniors aged 65 and older will receive a reduced price on costs.

The fee for a township license is $14 for spayed/neutered dogs and $17 for dogs not spayed/neutered; $12 for spayed/neutered cats, and $22 for cats not spayed or neutered.
