Holocaust Seminar Set in East Brunswick

The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex County in cooperation with local area synagogues will present the annual “Commemoration of the Holocaust and Heroism" on April 19 at East Brunswick Jewish Center, 511 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick.

This year’s theme, “The Holocaust Through Our Eyes: The Second and Third Generations Speak,” will focus on the stories of those whose parents and grandparents either survived or died in the Holocaust.

Exhibits open at 6 pm; the program begins at 7:30 pm. The program’s keynote speaker is Sandy Rubenstein, a second generation, award-winning Holocaust educator. Also speaking will be Middlesex County residents Julie Cohen and Howard Wachtel, both third generation. The exhibits will include essays and displays submitted by Middlesex County students in grades six through 12. Musical tributes will be performed by the Anshe Segulah Men’s Chorus.
