Hospital Offers Stroke Awareness Program

In recognition of National Stroke Awareness Month, JFK Medical Center’s Comprehensive Stroke Center will host a stroke awareness program and health screening on May 2 in the Conference Center at 70 James Street, Edison.

Members of the hospital’s medical staff as well as a stroke survivor will present the latest information regarding signs and symptoms of a stroke, the importance of early treatment, and lifestyle modifications to prevent a stroke.

As a New Jersey State Department of Health Certified Stroke Center, JFK’s Stroke and Cerebrovascular Program has raised the bar on stroke care in Middlesex County and is committed to educating the community about strokes and risk reduction. For ten years, HealthGrades.com has ranked JFK the number one hospital in New Jersey for stroke treatment.
