
The Operantics Musical Benefit will take place January 7 at 7 pm at the Centenary United Methodist Church, 200 Hillside Avenue, Metuchen. There is a suggested donation of $10 per adult and $5 for children 10 and younger.
Operantics is a Middlesex County-based group. The group will be performing excerpts from musicals, operettas and famous operas in its efforts to raise money for the Centenary United Methodist Church.
The performance will feature veteran singers who have performed in New York, across the country and abroad.

Operantics will be staging many opera classics including the following:
“Indian Love Call” from the musical Rose-Marie, duets and trios from The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, Gilbert & Sullivan operettas and opera standards made fun and accessible by Mozart and Donizetti.

Many of the opera excerpts will be sung in English and an emcee will explain the context of each piece.
