See Ari Hest in Concert

The Music on Main Street Barron Series sponsored by Woodbridge Township will feature Ari Hest on May 10 at The Barron Arts Center.

The concert will take place at 7:30 pm at the Barron Arts Center. Tickets are $20 in advance; $22 at the door.

According to the Woodbridge Arts New Jersey website, "New York singer-songwriter Ari Hest embarked on an ambitious independent "52" project, during which he spent all of 2008 writing, recording, and releasing one new song each week -- all from his NYC apartment.  The raspy-voiced singer then posted each new song online, encouraging fans to vote for their favorites. At the end of the year, Hest tallied those votes and in March, released the independent album "Twelve Mondays," featuring reworked versions of 12 fan-selected favorites."
