Father, Son Robbed At Gunpoint Of $27,000 Worth Of Pokemon Cards And Cash
This happened Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of a Woodbridge hotel, after a card-trading event was held inside:
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A card collector’s convention was held at the APA hotel in Woodbridge Sunday, and a father and son who attended the event were robbed of $27,000 worth of Pokémon cards and cash, according to Woodbridge Police.
This happened at about 4:30 p.m. in the hotel parking lot.
A 27-year-old man and his 69-year-old father said they were packing up their cards and merchandise when they were approached by two African-American men in a white BMW X3.

The suspects struck one victim in the face, knocking him to the ground, and pointed a gun at him and his father, demanding the merchandise. A short struggle ensued between the victims and the suspects, but "ended when the threats with the firearm intensified," said Woodbridge Police.
The two suspects fled in the BMW towards South Wood Ave. near the Garden State Parkway.

Stolen was $15,000 worth of Pokémon cards, which were being held in a gray suitcase with multiple stickers on it. The two men also stole $12,000 in cash, which was held in a green crossbody bag.
