Female Pedestrian Hit By Car In Linden Wednesday Night
The woman, 29 years old, was hit by the car as she walked across East Elizabeth Avenue just before 10 p.m. Wednesday. She remains critical.
LINDEN, NJ — A woman remains in critical condition Thursday morning after she was hit by a car Wednesday night in Linden, according to Linden police.
This was not a hit and run; the driver remained at the scene, said police.
The accident happened just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 in the area of East Elizabeth Ave and McCandless Street.

Police say a 2008 Ford Escape was traveling east on East Elizabeth Avenue when it struck a 29-year-old woman as she crossed East Elizabeth.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the crash; the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The woman was treated on scene and transported to Newark University Hospital with serious injuries. She remains in critical condition Thursday.
